The Planet Orbits Play Mat has a beautiful blue/purple/black space background, with white stars, and 8 orbital lines for the planets. It was designed specifically to go with our wooden planet blocks. The sun fits at the edge of the mat, with the eight planets placed in order of their distance from the sun. The mat also looks amazing with our space and space animal blocks.

The Planet Orbits Play Mat is our mini size, which is 14x12 inches, and is made of a non-slip neoprene material similar to a mouse pad or wet suit. Easy for little ones to use, as it won't slide around like a laminated sheet might. It has a smooth surface with a crisp image, and easily rolls up like a poster for storage.
 
Add some blocks and you're ready for play-based learning! Use the mat as a small world background, use it for bookish play and storytelling, use it for homeschool studies on space and planets, etc.
